Yeah, I have to apologize to folks. Firstly, about how come you're not seeing very many 'results' regarding my commissionstuffs. My tablet, which I use to furnish my works with ink and color, does not agree with me 75% of the time. I actually finished inking one major commish the other night, but I was hindered about three times by the tablet sucking because I accidentally moved it out of the working position when in the heat of the arting moment. x_x So... it's kinda just sitting here... I'm getting the stuff done that I've promised, do not worry. It's just... taking a lot of time to do, because this tablet in particular is... utterly terrible, to say the least.

I'm doing the best I can, but it's probably not best enough, and for that, I apologize.

Also... I seem to be unable to pick up the pencil and just -draw- these days. I'll end up trying, become -very- unhappy with the result of my attempts -very- early on, and thus, quit for the day. I'm... too much of a "this has to look perfect, or else, what's the point of trying? :<" person when it comes to artwork. I compare myself to other people too much, and it affects the amount of stuff I initially do. I used to draw quite frequently, but now I'm surprised if I can manage anything in a few weeks' time.

Several times, I've wondered if I should just plain stop trying, but seeing how far I've initially come, that'd be kinda... bad.

So, I just claim I'm not giving up, but continue to not do squat. Buh. D:

I guess if anybody has advice on how I need to handle this, I welcome it wholeheartedly. D: I need to find a way to get off my duff, for pete's sake...

Also, I know that I'm not as... in with the community as most true DA folks are, and I apologize about that. I never leave comments and junk, even though I see the arts... T_T; Disrespectful of me, and I sincerely apologize. I need to start being more attentive to folks... I feel like I've made myself look like a terrible person because of how I do things here. I'll try to better myself in the future, I promise. D:

Nya... I need to try and draw...

So, like... my tablet, an essential tool that helped me color things and ink things and such is... busted. It's a cheap little thing, a UC-Logic brand, one of which no one seems to have heard of. The drawing space is slightly smaller than the standard width and length of an old Nintendo DS, and the tablet itself is much larger, takes up a lot of space. It's not wireless, so because of my computer setup, it makes it hard to move around because the cord always keeps trying to wrap itself around my ankles, which often leads to mishaps where the tablet falls and smacks onto the hardwood floor (sidenote; thanks again for removing the carpet in the house, parents DX). In a nutshell, this thing's pretty crappy, and though it's served me well, I'm about ready to move on and get a hold of something that can perform -well-.

And I've found that something.

I've always heard great things about the Wacom brand of tablets, and from what I can see depicted in the description and such here, I think I realize why. A wireless setup, an assortment of tools, replacement stubs for the tablet pen, decent drawing space, and, I reiterate, wireless capability. Overall, this. Looks. -Nice-. I want it. I would love to own it. But current financial situations prevent me from really going out -right now- and purchasing this. So what is there left for me to do?

Well... I'mna say turn to you folks for slight aid. D:

I hate asking for money. I always have. Even if I need it, sometimes I -still- won't ask for it. There's just too much of a feeling of "moocher" that comes over me whenever I do ask about it. But, of course, if I say nothing, then I get nothing, right...? Or something... Either way, here's my request; I ask that, perhaps, if you wish to, you can send me one little dollar. Nothing more. Just a little dollar-donation to my paypal account. Or, for a couple dollars more, I'll draw you a character sketch. About $3 seems reasonable, yes...? I'm guessing my $5 amount was far too much for my stuff, so $3 will be the amount for a sketchie... It's all I can do right now. I'd do more with the picture, but until I get a new tablet thingy, I'm pretty much helpless in that regard right now. :x Paypal address is tonycaline[at]gmail.com for moneystuff. It's the only way I can gather funds. Sorry. :x

So, until I reach my goal, that's what I'm going to try to do. You can send a single dollar if you'd like, or you can send a couple dollars extra to earn a character sketch of your choice. I only ask that what you request isn't anything of fetish or adult nature. Keep it clean, please. D:

If you're up to helping a little Tony out, please send me a PM, and we'll work things out for the arts and whatnot.

I appreciate any and all help that I may receive while pushing towards this goal. Thanks for taking your time out of your day to lend an ear to this plea.

Hugs for all.

-Tony

... well, it is!

But, yeah.

So, today, I decided that I was going to start doing a little more to help put me back into some type of shape. This morning, at about 6:20, I left my house to do some kind of jogging. Well... that turned into a walk about 5-10 minutes in, but that was okay. Despite feeling nauseous for, what appeared to be, me pushing myself too hard for beginning outright, I pressed on with it, and I managed to get in about 30 minutes worth of walking around and slightly jogging a bit. I came back coughing a little, breathing a mite hard, and having my right leg feel like the bone wasn't quite connected right. Like, without the pain, but all... wonky. But now, as I sit here, I don't regret it, and I plan on doing this for the next several weeks, just to see how I'd do if I did just a little more than what my normal routine holds.

Maybe this way, I'll be better off?

$5 Sketch Brouhaha!

Or, in a better term, I need help to raise money!

I've decided I'm gonna do $5 sketches of people's characters. I'm trying to get back into an art groooove, and on top of that, A-Kon is quickly heading this way. So, I decided that by raising $5 per sketch, I'll have some spending money for the convention, rather than have to use my funds that I have saved up for my next semester of college... ^.^;

But, in any case, this is obviously an optional deal, and I'm not gonna be -beggin'- people to GIMME MONEY. But... I will try to be as appealing as I can : D;;

Let's see. There's really no limit to the amount of characters, so long as it's... reasonable enough. About $2-$3 dollars for any extra character in the sketch. I'm not going to do backgrounds, because I would like to give people the artwork of their characters as soon as I can, with the best I can muster, of course. I won't fly through something and say "K, DONE, moneys nao?" I'll put time and effort into them. Promise.

Anyway, I'm just looking for a way to raise a little funds, and I think this is the best way to do it. Obviously, nothing pornographic, please, or fetish oriented or what have you. And... yeah.

I do have other big commissions I should be finishing up, but to the folks who ordered those from me, do not worry! This journal does not mean I've forgotten about what I need to do; This is, as I said, one of my 'quick fundraising' type deals. So, while yours might get put on the back burner for a little while longer, I have, in no way, given up on them.

The only hindrance to anybody would be if they did or did not have a Paypal account; the only means of payment which I currently trust in. (Because, really, lost funds over the mail totally -suck-, and I'd feel terrible about it. D: ) Payments go to tonycaline@gmail.com.

Anywho, I hope folks are interested enough to partake! I will do my best to provide!

EDIT: I've reaized that I may have offended some folks, or rubbed them the wrong way with what I said about the bigger commissions. Make no mistake, I -am- working on those at the same time, too. When I said back burner, I... well. I really don't know what I was thinking at the time I wrote this, but... Rest assured, everything's going to be worked on. I've been doing more in recent days, so I'm going to show folks I can do this. No sweat! Expect to see more as the hours and days progress.
